Hey! Hey! Hey!

Howdy everybody!!!
Well, it's Friday.........PRAISE THE LORD!!! It has been a good week. I am off-call, and have the day off! I'm gonna do a little CHRISTmas shopping today, and then go to a Conference in Odessa tonight. I am really excited about that!
We had an awesome time in the Lord last night at Praise Team Practice at LCF. The presence of the Lord was VERY powerful, and also, we just had a lot of fun at practice, too. We added a new Praise Team member, Dean (a drummer), too. WOO HOO!!! \o/
Clay and crew got back in the cotton fields on Wednesday afternoon. The cotton harvest is absolutely INCREDIBLE. The best ever. We are just thanking and praising God for it, too! \o/ And I know I have said it before, but folks, just like we see this bumper crop coming in in the natural, the one that is soon coming in the Spirit (like a flood, I might add), is gonna be UNIMAGINABLE (sp?)!!! God keeps speaking to me about it, and I continue to hear that even those that know about it......still can't imagine how B-I-G this thing is. It's like Hurricane Katrina in the Spirit!!! I'm ready (and my Pastor, Gwen Aldridge) is really equipping us to not only get there, but be prepared to walk in it and walk others through it, over it, under it, around it......whatever it takes......IT'S sooooooooooooooo EXCITING!!!
Okay, I have rambled on enough. Hope you have a super-blessed, super-natural weekend!!!

TGIT!!! THANK GOD IT'S THURSDAY!!!

WOO HOO! Today is the last day of my work week. I get a three-day weekend. We had AWESOME services at church last night. A very powerful service and prophetic, too! GO GOD! We serve an awesome God in incredible times. Let us all ARISE and SHINE!!! We must AWAKE!!! AWAKE!!! AWAKE!!!
Please continue to pray for my boss, Pat. She came back to work on Monday, but is not feeling well, and goes home most afternoons to rest. Thanks for you prayers for her!
Also, continue to pray for Biz, the 13 year old from Washington State, who has had a cancerous tumor(s) removed from the left side of her face. They got an appointment at MD Anderson in Houston for a consultation on the needed follow-up radiation treatments. You can read more by following the link to her dad's blogsite that you will find in my links column on the right side of this page. Her parents are pastors in the Washington State area. Please keep Biz, and ALL her family lifted up in your prayers. THANKS!!!

God is soooooooo Good!!!

WOO HOO!!!

God is soooooooooo good!!! I have now just about finished a week of call.....and I had a very quiet weekend and NO night-time call-outs. PRAISE GOD! I am looking forward to a 3-day weekend this weekend. Clay is out of the cotton fields right now, because we had about 7-8 inches of snow during the long Thanksgiving holiday, and hopefully will be back harvesting (stripping) cotton by the end of the week. My boss came back to work yesterday, and she looks like she is recovering well from surgery. That is another answer to prayer. GO GOD! Our kids are all doing well. They had nice Thanksgiving(s). We had GREAT services at church on Sunday morning. We didn't get to be a part of the Sunday evening services, because of the weather, but I hear that they were WONDERFUL too! Clay is still feeling well. Still requires a little extra rest (when I can get him to do it---LOL!). Hope you take time to ENJOY the CHRISTmas Season and remember.......JESUS is the reason for the season!

LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW!

Howdy everybody!!!
Well, we got 3 inches of snow at my house on Turkey Day. It has been C-O-L-D here. They are predicting another 1-4 inches of snow this afternoon/tonight and tomorrow. I am working on-call this weekend, but it has been a nice call weekend (most folks have families in and they don't want nurses coming and bothering them). Since it got cold and WET, Clay couldn't strip cotton, so he went to the deer lease on Thursday morning. He killed a deer last night, and it is raining now, so he is headed home this morning. YEAH!
I didn't do any CHRISTmas Shopping yesterday (I was working). I do have a 3-day weekend this next weekend, so I may do some shopping then.
I did start getting up the CHRISTmas decorations here at the house last night. Hopefully I will finish that up this weekend too. I will share some pictures here on the blog when I get that finished.

Have a super-blessed, super-safe, super-natural weekend (I'm gonna!).

Same module (I think)---different angle

Here is a different angle, and easier to see and read. We are just praisin' God for the incredible cotton crop that He has blessed us with!!!
God's love & mine,
Nonnie

Cotton Module from one of our fields

Thought I would share a cotton module with you from our crop. For those of you who aren't familiar with the process, the cotton strippers, strip the cotton off the stalk, and then it is pressed into one of these big rectangles, that is called a MODULE. A big truck comes to the cotton field, and picks these up and takes them to the gin, where they process it and make it into smaller rectangles, called cotton bales. There are usually anywhere from 8-12 bales per each module. Most of the time, we spray paint the farmer or farms initials on the side, and maybe a number, or the farm number. Many people, paint messages, and these modules serve as billboards, because they are in the cotton fields, right beside the roads and highways. A great way to praise the Lord!!! GO GOD!
Have a super-blessed, supernatural day and week!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING WEEK, Everybody!!!

We have so much to be thankful for that I don’t even know where to begin. First, and foremost, I am so thankful for my heavenly, Abba Father, God. He loves us so much more than we can imagine. I am forever grateful and in love with Him. I love Jesus, His Son, too, Who came to earth, experienced every temptation that we do, lived a perfect life, and then not only gave up that very life so that you and I can live eternally, but when He left this earth, He didn’t leave us alone on earth to fend for ourselves, but left us with a special Helper----Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit teaches me things everyday. Holy Spirit empowers me to be all that God created me to be. Praise God for that, because I can’t do it on my own! Thank You, God for the Trinity!!!
I am so thankful for the incredible family that God gave me. I was birthed by two wonderful parents, and if that wasn’t good enough, I have been graced by extra parents along the way (my step parents, past and present). My sister and brother and their families are such a blessing to us, too! Then, it just gets “gooder”, for God grafted me into my husband’s family, too. God definitely knew what He was doing, when He chose Clay Childress to be my husband. He is an excellent man of God, husband and father. He is my best friend, and we have so much fun together, and love to serve the Lord together. The gifts and talents that God gave us, compliment each other, and we balance each other out, on the rough edges, too. Then, God entrusted Clay & I with two wonderful children, Britt and Amber. Britt married a beautiful woman, Merrida, and God again grafted another family member into our lives. GO GOD! We love our kids and are so thankful for them. They are wonderful---all three of them! Britt and Merrida moved to Nashville, TN, in August and are happy there and doing very well. Britt is the Department Manager in the Guitar Department of Guitar Center there. Merrida is working in Marketing in a business downtown and doing an excellent job, too. Amber, graduated from college this past May and moved to Washington DC in July. She is loving it there. She works for a law firm (across the street from the White House). Ambs is back at National Community Church and loves the Body of Christ that God has her in there.
In March of this past year, Clay and I began attending Lamesa Christian Fellowship. We are again so blessed to be grafted into such a loving and gifted family. We are having a ball serving God there and working with such an incredible team to advance God’s Kingdom together. Our pastor, Dr. Gwen Aldridge, challenges every member to be all that God has created them to be, and to use the talents, gifts and abilities that God givev each one of us to bring God glory. Clay and I are serving on the Worship Team there and love coming into God’s presence and getting to lead others there too. It is awesome!
In August of this year, Clay went to a local doctor, for an ear infection. While there, the doctor decided to run some screening labwork, and when Clay’s PSA (prostate blood labwork) came back 25.78 (normal for Clay should have been 2), sent us to a urologist. That urologist did an exam and then a biopsy, and the doctor’s report came back that Clay had prostate cancer in 8 of 12 cores, with a Gleason score of 7 (meaning that it grows fast and spreads easily). That very next Sunday, as we began to worship in the house of God, Clay, stood on the platform, and told everyone that the doctor’s report was that he had prostate cancer, but He believed the report of the Lord, and it said that HE IS HEALED! Our church, friends, and family rallied around us and stood with us in the gap as we cried out to God to manifest His healing in Clay. What a beautiful picture of the Body of Christ coming together on behalf of a friend and family member. We love all of you! We also know that healing comes, and only God, our Maker, chooses how He will execute it. Clay had a bone scan and a CT Scan of the abdomen and pelvis. They were all clear!!! Praise God! We saw the urologist again, a few weeks before surgery. Clay had them re-run the PSA, because Clay wanted to make sure that surgery was needed. Clay’s PSA had come down to 6.3. GO GOD! On October 4th, Clay had robotic surgery to remove the prostate. The doctor came out and told us that he felt he had removed all the cancer and that we were just waiting on the pathological reports to come back and the follow-up PSA a month after surgery to see if we needed any radiation or chemo treatments. WOO HOO!!! The path reports came back good and then a month later, the PSA = 0, meaning that Clay doesn’t have any rogue prostate cells growing anywhere in his body. He is cancer-free! GOD HEALS EVEN TODAY! Praise God!!!
Now, if that wasn’t enough to be thankful for this year, God is gifting us with the most incredible cotton harvest we have ever had in our 26 years of marriage. GO GOD! And, I have to tell you that what we all see and are experiencing in the physical, God is doing and about to do in a greater measure, in the Spirit- realm. There is about to be an explosion of the Spirit and harvest of souls like no one has ever experienced on this earth. And we get to be a part of that! WOW! I am so thankful that God created us to be a part of His Work for such a time as this!
I also thank God for our wonderful friends that He gave us. You are all so awesome and bless us so much! Thank you for being you!!!

HAVE A HAPPY, BLESSED, SAFE & SUPERNATURAL THANKSGIVING ! ! !

Nonnie

I'm still breathing.....

Hey everybody!
It feels like it has been WEEKS since I blogged here. We just experienced the most incredible (and busy) weekend we have had in a while!!! Thursday night, I got the privilege to take one of my forever friends, Patti Flores, to Stanton to participate in a Walk to Emmaus, as her sponsor. Friday, I worked (as I did the previous part of the week), and then Friday evening (early) we had Thanksgiving dinner with Clay's family. We then began a Church Conference with Dr. Sherill Piscopo. After services, Friday night, we had a Snack Fellowship to get time to visit with each other & Dr. Sherill. Then, Saturday morning, I went to my mom-in-love's quilting class (yes, I know some of you just landed on the floor in shock, and the rest of you....just your jaw hit the floor.........but I am happy to report that I was neither ex-communicated from Clay's family, placed in the corner, or had to wear a dunce cap----IT WAS FUN!).....then we had church services at 1 PM & 7 PM, then off to the Walk's Candlelight services in Stanton at 8 PM. Sunday morning we continued with incredible church services, ran and got a bite to eat....off to the Walk to Emmaus Closing in Stanton at 3:30 PM, grabbed a bite to eat (again!) and then back to LCF (our church) for the concluding services with Dr. Sherill Piscopo at 8 PM. I had today (Monday) off......YEAH!.......and PRAISE GOD!!!.............cleaned house
(and had help from a new housekeeper----another answer to prayer!) & took a late nap..........and I start a week of being on-call for my Home Health job on Tuesday morning.
Britt, Ambs & Merrida (our kids) are all doing well, too! Clay is continuing full-swing with the most incredible cotton crop we have EVER had! GO GOD!
Have a super-blessed, supernatural Thanksgiving week!

Supernatural SON-Day!!!

If it's not Supernatural.........it's superficial.
~~~Jack Taylor
Well, all I can say is it was NOT superficial, but was a VERY SUPERNATURAL SON-day!!! From start-to-finish the day was just totally SUPERNATURAL! GO GOD!!! Clay & I started out the day with a great breakfast (sounds like a commercial! LOL!!!) together. Then we had a great Pre-Worship time with the Praise Team (in our soon to be completed Supernatural Prayer Station Room---just check out the link to the LCF Blog in my links for more on that one), an incredible Worship Service, and we were joined with a team from Teen Challenge from Midland, sharing song and their testimonies of how God had delivered them from various addictions and was setting them free and changing their lives. WOO HOO! Then, we had a GREAT Fellowship lunch afterwards, and a woman received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, during the lunch. Amazing!!!! Then we had a wonderful Praise Team Practice, getting ready for our Conference next weekend. Clay & I came on home, but then there was another service at Faith Temple, where Sister Pat Smith was speaking. What a SON-day! (And then I got the call at 9:30 PM from my brother, that they had found my 15 year old neice that had run-away from home the night before. I am so glad that she is safe.)
Have a super-blessed, SUPERNATURAL Monday..........I'm gonna!!!
Blessed SON-Day!
Good morning, all! Sorry it has been so long since I blogged here.....has been a very busy week. Clay is feeling WONDERFUL.......and going 100 mph! The cotton stripping is in full swing and our crops are producing the largest bumper crop we have EVER had......PRAISE GOD! The days are VERY long for Clay. He isn't on the tractor, but out at the fields and on the roads running for parts, etc......about 12+ hours a day. Very stressful.......just pray. Thanks! My work is going well. It is sooooooooo nice to have the extra help and new RN's now. Please pray for my boss, Pat. She is having her shoulder worked on next week and she has multiple polyps in her colon that they will be looking at. She will be off of work for about the next 2 weeks.
LCF (our Church) is ...... WOW! I don't even know what to say.........God is just moving there. Our prayer stations are totally incredible. Look at my links, and I will add one to our LCF blog. It has a lot of neat features, and you can leave prayer requests at the specific prayer stations, etc. If you live in the Lamesa area, you outta come visit us. We are having a special Conference next weekend, Dr. Sherill Piscopo will be with us Friday night, Saturday and for 2 services on Sunday. You don't wanna miss out!
Have a super-blessed, SUPERNATURAL SON-Day!
P.S. ~ THANKS for all your prayers for us. Take just a little time right now to PRAISE GOD for this awesome report of the Lord. WOO HOO! \o/
Update on Clay
We saw Dr. Beck today. Clay has a bladder infection (not too unexpected, since he had a catheter).....got an antibiotic. They did bloodwork for the PSA, but won't run the actual test through the machine until tomorrow (Tues) afternoon, so we don't have those results yet. Otherwise, the doctor was VERY pleased with how Clay is doing. Said he can start doing a few things, as he can tolerate them, but not to overdo anything for another 4-6 weeks. We see Dr. Beck again in 6 weeks. GO GOD!
Pray for Clay
UPDATE:
Clay goes back to the urologist tomorrow (Monday) afternoon. He will have the first PSA (prostate bloodwork) done since surgery. If the numbers are low or ZERO, everything is clear. If the numbers aren't down or are increased, we will need to see an oncologist and do radiation and/or chemo. Clay is feeling G-R-E-A-T !!! Just pray that the PSA = 0 tomorrow. Also, he is still having some numbness of his hands, especially his right hand. Continue to pray that God completely, divinely and totally heal and restore. Thanks!
God's love & mine,
Nonnie
aka Lauren
P.S. ~ LCF Church services were once again awesome this morning. What a fun time in the Lord we are having!!! GO GOD!!! Hope your SON-day was just as blessed!
Prayer Request
Here is a prayer request for a beautiful 13 year old girl from Washington State. Her parents are pastors there. She had a cancer removed that basically covered the entire left side of her face and sinuses, etc. Follow the link below to read about her and to keep updated on her. (Also they have pictures posted there of their family. I believe she will be the oldest girl in the pics you see there.) Keep praying for this precious child of God and her family!!!
